| Dave Von Ronk and other blues artists have sung "Twelve Gates to the City," conjuring visions of a celestial city. Heaven might not have a green belt around it or a colonnade, but lacking visual evidence, I used my imagination. In the coming years more of the 12 gates will probably be revealed. |
